L’Auditori, founded in March 1999, is the home of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Barcelona Symphony Band and the Museu de la Música. A national institution, L’Auditori aims to bring Catalonia and Barcelona worldwide recognition through its music series including an extensive social programme with an educational service aimed at audiences of all types, helping to make culture accessible to all.

23 year old Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniţă won first prize in the cello division of the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition and has already been recognized as one of the greatest cellists of his generation. In this recital he performs some of the great works for cello by Beethoven, Cassadó and Stravinsky together with close collaboration with students from music schools and conservatoires around the country.

23 year old Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniţă won first prize in the cello division of the 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition and has already been recognized as one of the greatest cellists of his generation. The Hanson Quartet, prize winners at the Geneva International Quartet Competition 2016, make their debut at L’Auditori as part of the Emergents Barcelona Music Festival and its events dedicated to emerging talent. The Hanson Quartet performs regularly in some of the top concert halls in Europe including Wigmore Hall London and in this programme they will perform the music of Webern and Brahms.

A gradate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, Fischer signed with Deutsche Grammophon to release her first album in February 2018. An ECHO Rising Star, Fischer’s recital is presented as part of L’Auditori’s Emergents Barcelona Music Festival.

Rémi Geniet, youngest prize-winner of the Bonn International Beethoven Competition is fast establishing himself as one of the most prominent pianists of his generation, performing internationally with orchestras including the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and l’Orchestre National d’Île-de-France and conductors including Marin Alsop. In this performance as part of the Emergents Barcelona Music Festival Rémi Geniet will also include his project in an open rehearsal program with 90 students from aged from 12 to 18.
